Over the course of the last 6 months (the time I’ve been engaged), I’ve made it a habit to ask anyone I can for advice on marriage. With 6 months to go till wedding day, I’m sure I’ll continue getting amazing advice and will have to update this post as needed.
Here is some of the advice I’ve received so far. No doubt good advice for anyone in any relationship.
“Live for Love”
“Take the lead on planning all religious aspects of the wedding to prepare to take the lead on all religious aspects of the marriage”
“Being married is pretty great”
“Being married sucks”
“It’s in the little things. The random phone call, the little letter to let them know you’re thinking about them”
“Be friends first”
“Agree on morals and money”
“Make time to pray together every day. And always communicate about your spiritual life”
“Be sure to make time for yourselves, especially when starting out”
I'm blessed to know a lot of truly incredible and inspirational people who are always willing to help out. A huge thank you to everyone who has offered advice up to this point, and any future advice you can give.
Have any more advice for me? Please let me know. I need all the help I can get :)
